Srdjan Djokovic was admitted to the Emergency Center in Belgrade, reports “Courier“. According to the first information, there is nothing serious and everything happened after the fall. How much recovery awaits him and what the rehabilitation period is will be known in the coming period.
“Everything happened today in the morning hours. He hurt his shoulder when he fell. He fell from his chair and broke his humerus. The extent of the injury is unknown“, the text states.
Srdjan was born on April 25, 1961 and had a huge impact on the career of the best tennis player of all time. Thanks to his faith in Novak and the struggle during the very beginnings, when he borrowed money from greengrocers, fell into debt, all in order to give him a chance to fulfill his dream. In the end, it all paid off.
He once told how he had enormous health problems and that the doctors were fighting for his life. “I had blood sepsis, water in my lungs, purulent abscesses and two bacteria. Doctors gave me a one percent chance of survival for a month. If they hadn’t transferred me to Munich, I would hardly have survivedbecause there were no conditions for survival here,” Srđan told the show “Survivors” on K1.

Then Srđan talked about that struggle for Novak’s success and about his sons Marko and Đorđe. “They suffered a lot, we all did. There was no chance to devote at least a fraction of that attention, time and money to them, because it is all under the signs of allegations, Novak said. Đole was a bigger talent than Novak when he was young, and Marko was hardworking, strong and had a chance to be a serious professional player. That huge shadow of Novakov, which Marko could not stand, contributed to him leaving professional tennis and going to live in Spain. It was a heavy blow for me and it still is today. However, as it happened, we did not have the opportunity to devote even a fraction of what was given to Novak to the two of them. I’m sorry for that and they suffered, but they didn’t hold it against me for a single second, because they are really great guys. It is very difficult when you experience it in your own country. When Novak experiences it, what can the rest of us expect? However, we decided to stay and live here with our people,” Srđan said.
