Star Wars Outlaws has been given a release date: August 30.
In addition to announcing the game’s release date, Ubisoft also published a brand new trailer, which gives a brief insight into the game’s history. The game’s main character, and apparently the galaxy’s new “favorite villain”, Kay Vess, has ended up in trouble after getting on the radar of a smuggling lord. To buy her way out of the predicament, she must pull off a big break with a group of other, less law-abiding characters.
This is reportedly the first game in the Star Wars universe to be set in a large open world. The game will be available for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Reunion with famous characters
Besides the fact that the protagonist brings a number of other characters with him on his journey, from the trailer you can also glimpse a reunion with Jabba the Hutt, as well as a frozen Han Solo in carbonite. Not unnaturally, all the time the action in the game is set between the films The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
The game experience as such will take place both on foot and outside in a large, open galaxy with lots of planets – which are not randomly generated, but made by hand, according to Gamer.no.
