Still only one aim for cannabis cafe

On Sunday, Roar Mikalsen is still the only person charged after the opening of a cannabis cafe in Oslo on Saturday.

The police confirm this to NRK.

Mikalsen is charged with selling drugs. He says the opening of the cafe was a mark against Norwegian drug policy. He notified the police about it himself and says he wants a trial.

Before the police arrived, he managed to sell between 500 and 600 grams of cannabis products, he told NRK on Saturday.

The police said early on that they would not follow up on the buyers.

And there are still no other suspects than Mikalsen, says police attorney Erlend Hals Bakke.

– But the investigation can change that, he says.

This means that any owner of the premises where the cafe is open is not a suspect or a suspect as of Sunday afternoon.

But complicity in drug sales is also illegal, Bakke points out.

– And if the investigation shows that there are others who can be held criminally responsible for this sale, it will be considered, he says.
