The Book of Eli tells the story about 30 years after the nuclear disaster. Eli (Denzel Washington) then travels on foot across the desert of the former United States.

He made the trip wearing sunglasses and tattered clothes. However, Eli was able to survive and fight extraordinary.
There, Eli stopped by a town bar but was attacked by a group of motorbike riders. Eli was able to defeat them with his fighting skills.

Eli’s fighting actions impressed Carneige and he was invited to join the group. However, Carneige’s offer was rejected. This made the commander ask someone to keep an eye on Eli.
Eli also offered to stay one night before going their separate ways. At that time, Eli also met Solara (Mila Kunis), Carneige’s daughter.
That moment made Solara see that Eli had a book. The next morning, Eli sneaks away but is blocked by Carneige and his men. Carneige even ordered Eli to be killed because he refused to give him his book.
Solara had caught up with Eli and brought him to town with a water supply, hoping to accompany him. However, Eli traps him and continues the journey alone.
Solara escapes but is ambushed by two bandits who try to rape her, but Eli reappears and kills them. Eli finally explains his mission regarding the book that Carneige is after.
The Book of Eli is a post-apocalyptic neo-western film directed by the Hughes Brothers from a script written by Gary Whitta.
The film premiered on January 15, 2010 after being made on a budget of US$80 million. The Book of Eli went on to collect US$157.1 million at the global box office.
