Jolt follows the story of a former bouncer who seeks revenge after someone close to him is murdered.

Lindy Lewis (Kate Beckinsale) is a former bouncer who has an illness. He has it Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED) or a disorder that causes a person to become irritable.
He gets angry easily if someone interacting with him triggers his emotions. This made Lindy seek professional help. He often consults Dr. Ivan Munchin (Stanley Tucci) who is his psychiatrist.

Knowing that Lindy had a disorder, Munchin advised his patient to have a special relationship with someone. The suggestion was made so that Lindy’s disorder gradually healed.
Lindy was initially hesitant to do what her psychiatrist recommended. However, in the end he still decided to carry out this suggestion. She meets an accountant named Justin (Jai Courtney) and goes on a date with the man.
On their first date, Lindy hit a waiter because the place they were eating at almost served food containing nuts. This makes Lindy emotional because Justin is allergic to peanuts.
Lindy then returned to Munchin to give him an electric shock so that his body condition would return to normal. After hearing Lindy’s story, Munchin made him realize that his patient liked Justin.
Therefore, Lindy went on a second date with Justin. However, before the second date could take place, Lindy found Justin murdered.
The police also seemed to have no intention of investigating Justin’s murder case, which made Lindy angry.
The police’s unprofessional behavior made Lindy decide to hunt down Justin’s killer herself and take revenge.
Jolt is an action genre film directed by Tanya Wexler based on a script written by Scott Wascha.
The film casts Kate Beckinsale as the main character. Apart from that, Jolt also stars Bobby Cannavale, Laverne Cox, Jai Courtney, and Stanley Tucci.
