Sinopsis The Idea of You
Solène (Anne Hathaway) is a 40 year old single mother. She begins her love story unexpectedly with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell (Nicholas Galitzine). He is the lead singer of August Moon, the most popular boy band.
One day, Solène chooses to cancel her vacation plans to accompany her daughter, Izzy (Ella Rubin) to the Coachella music festival. They also have VIP access to meet and greet events with the famous boy band, August Moon.
Even so, Solène didn’t know much about the boy band. His meeting with Hayes was considered normal by him. But for Hayes, that meeting made a deep impression on his heart. This leads to Hayes giving signals to Solène while performing on stage.
It doesn’t stop there. Hayes also visited the Solène art gallery. Until finally, there was a spark of romance between the two of them.
However, Solène and Hayes are soon made aware of their situation under the media spotlight. Moreover, the single mother was also worried that her relationship would affect the people around her, especially her only child.

The Idea of You is a film produced by Prime Video. Apparently, this film is adapted from the famous novel by Robinne Lee of the same title which was published in 2017.
Robinne Lee also co-wrote the script, collaborating with Michael Showalter and Jennifer Westfeldt. In fact, one of the names in the scriptwriting ranks, Michael Showalter, was also appointed as director.
Some fans of this romantic film believe that the characters included were inspired by singer Harry Styles. Because, the character of Hayes Campbell is described as similar to Harry Styles, namely a young musician from England who is the lead singer in a boy band.
