HOUSTON – Texas police surrounded a Beth Israel congregation synagogue in the city of Colleyville where a gunman allegedly took an unspecified number of people hostage. The Colleyville Police Department reports. “All residents in the immediate area have been evacuated. Please avoid the area,” police say on Twitter.
The identity of the gunman is currently unknown. The Beth Israel Congregation was officially established on July 18, 1999 with 25 member families and affiliation with the Union of Reformed Judaism
