Lilleberg’s Lightning hit back – won over the Blue Jackets
After two straight losses, Brandon Hagel, among others, ensured that the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-2 in the NHL on Saturday.
Emil Lilleberg played his 13th match for the winning team since his debut in early January. The Sarpsborg boy was brought up to the NHL when the team struggled a lot with injuries. The 23-year-old played just over 13 minutes in Saturday’s away game in Columbus.
There, Hagel was decisive with one goal and two assists, while Nicholas Paul, Anthony Cirelli and captain Steven Stamkos also scored. For the home team, Boone Jenner was responsible for both netizens.
The Lightning had lost the previous two games against the New York Rangers and New York Islanders respectively.
With Saturday’s win, the Lightning are placed third in their division. Nine points separate the Florida Panthers and a safe playoff spot. There are about 30 games left in this year’s NHL regular season.
Recently, back star Mikhail Sergachev injured himself badly again, which could mean more playing time for Lilleberg later in the season.
Next game for Lilleberg and co. is away against the top team Boston Bruins on Tuesday.
