As the Federation announced in its statement, Torres has had outstanding work with young players. There stand out talents who have passed through the National Team such as Alexis Castillo Manyoma, Juan Camilo Portilla, Alexander Mejía, Gutavo Torres or Deinner Quiñones. Likewise, he empowered footballers who today appear in the first division such as Jhon Vásquez, Juan David Ríos, Edwin Torres and Israel Alba.

In the country he directed Universitario de Popayán, Deportes Quindío, Jaguares de Córdoba, Cortuluá, Bogotá FC and the aforementioned Alianza, on two occasions.
