China News Agency, Bangkok, July 18 (Reporter Wang Guoan) Thailand’s New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemic Management Center announced on the 18th that 11,397 new cases of new coronary pneumonia have been newly confirmed, setting a new high in a single day for the third consecutive day. So far, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Thailand has exceeded 400,000, reaching 403,386.

On the same day, there were 101 new deaths in Thailand, with a total of 3341 deaths.

The Thai government gazette website issued a notice signed by Prime Minister Prayut on the same day, adding a number of anti-epidemic regulations in order to reduce the spread of the epidemic as soon as possible.

According to the announcement, the country’s highest-level epidemic prevention and control zones have been expanded from the original 10 provinces including Bangkok, Nakhon Pathom, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan, Long Tsai Chuo, Pattani, Yela, Tao Gong, Songkhla, etc. 13 prefectures, 3 prefectures of Chonburi, Chachoengsao and Ayutthaya were newly added.

People in the above 13 provinces are not allowed to go out unless necessary, except for food, medicine, medical treatment, and COVID-19 vaccination. The curfew is from 21 pm to 4 am the next day, and they are not allowed to go out without the approval of relevant government departments. Violators will be charged Relevant laws and regulations.

Restaurants continue to prohibit dine-in; shopping malls are restricted to supermarkets, pharmacies and COVID-19 vaccination sites; convenience stores are closed from 20 pm to 4 pm the next day.

In addition, the new regulations also include: the government of the highest-level epidemic prevention and control zone can close local places and activities that are at risk of spreading the epidemic; setting up inspection stations to conduct strict inspections on entering and exiting personnel, vehicles, etc.; all public transport vehicles passengers are seated The rate shall not exceed 50%; gatherings of more than 5 people are prohibited.
