A 2nd edition of the Gramado Design Salon Award released the list of finalists for the year. The event will take place at the Palácio dos Festivals, in Gramado, on June 9th. And the winning pieces will be exhibited at the exhibition during the Gramado Show between June 10th and 13th, 2024.
There were more than 200 projects registered in 10 categories and 43 were approved for the second phase of evaluation, which will take place in May, in Gramado. The judges will carry out the technical evaluation, being able to touch, handle and try each piece, considering its functionality, beauty, harmony, comfort and other requirements. All projects that passed to this second phase will be part of the E-Book Salão de Gramado Design Award.
The judging panel is made up of Newton Lima (interior designer and partner at Casa Mollde), Eliana Sanches (content director at Elle Decoration Brasil), Marcelo Lima (journalist and design critic), Thais Lauton (director of Casa e Jardim) , Mônica Barbosa (intelligence consultant for the decor market and luxury brands), Denise Gustavsen (editor of Elle Decor and general coordinator of Casa Claudia Luxo) and Paulo Niemeyer (architect, urban planner and product designer at Niemeyer Arquitetos Associados).
