The fitness influencer shows her drastic change on Instagram

There was a lot going on for influencer Sophia Thiel (29) last year. She now shared a video with her 1.4 million Instagram followers in which she proudly and “gratefully” shows how she has changed visually within exactly twelve months. The fans are thrilled.

Her latest Instagram video is in two parts. First, Sophia Thiel appears in a black sports bra and black leggings. Her facial expression doesn’t seem very happy. These recordings are from 2023. The second video part is current. Here Sophia poses in a tight white bikini. She is more toned and radiates joy, pride and warmth – one stark transformation.

But the influencer makes one point: “This is NOT supposed to be a transformation, before/after, unhappy/happy, unfit/fit video! This is just a video of me in two different phases of life.”

Looking back, Sophia Thiel looks at herself “lovingly”

“Personally, I just find it very exciting to observe how my inner life (i.e. how I feel and what happens to me in life) is often reflected in my outside,” explains Sophia in the text of the video. She continues: “In that one year, so much has happened again and, as always, I had my ups and downs … and that’s okay too! But most of all I am grateful for my current ‘eye’, as I look back on myself… and that is: lovingly.”

Body-Positivity is important to her because Thiel has had a long phase in her life in which she struggled with her self-perception and developed health problems. Just when she became one of the hottest fitness influencers, things got worse and worse. She suffered from eating disorders and burnout. She retired from social media in 2019.

Most recently, Sophia danced her way into the hearts of fans alongside Alexandru Ionel (29) on “Let’s Dance” – and again Confidence. Unfortunately, the journey on the floor ended after the seventh show, but she was thrilled by the experience: “Different body feeling, different self-confidence, I see myself in a different light,” she said happily in an interview with “RTL.de”. their departure. She then posted a wonderful “best of video” from her “Let’s Dance” time with the subtitle: “8 weeks, 8 dances and memories for infinity.”

She now looks at herself with calmness and writes about the new video: “I no longer find my body shape (like before) categorically better or worse – it is and will always be DIFFERENT in the future and constant change is somehow part of it.”

(Most) fans are thrilled with Sophia and her video. “How can a woman be so beautiful inside and out? And it doesn’t matter what body shape. Sophia, you are gold,” reads one comment. One fan praises her as “an inspiration” and a third says: “I take my hat off to you so much! That you keep going…here on the platforms! And prove yourself again and again! It’s unbelievable how strong and fragile you are at the same time are.” She can be proud of herself. Of course there are also less enthusiastic voices. Warners warn of a “relapse into old times”.
