Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Jasa Marga (Persero)’s subsidiary, PT Jasamarga Jogja Solo (JMJ), operates a one-way functional lane of the Jogja-Solo Toll Road on 12-15 April 2024 at 06.00-17.00 WIB from Ngawen to Colomadu to support smooth running return flow for Eid 2024.

“During this period, the Jogja-Solo Toll Road functional lane will operate in one direction from the Ngawen (Klaten) access or Karanganom Toll Gate (GT) to Banyudono GT (for Boyolali and/or Kartasura purposes) and Colomadu GT (for Trans Toll Road purposes Java),” said JMJ Main Director Rudy Hardiansyah in a statement received in Jakarta, Friday.

The same as the homecoming period, said Rudy, road users from Jalan Raya Solo-Semarang heading to the Trans Java Toll Road will also be diverted via GT Banyudono to continue their journey via GT Colomadu.

Outside of the specified functional lane implementation date and time, traffic flow to and from Colomadu GT returns to normal using the existing access.

Rudy explained that JMJ recorded that during the homecoming period, 58,702 vehicles passed the functional route of the Solo-Yogyakarta-YIA Kulonprogo (Jogja-Solo) Toll Road, the 22 km Colomadu to Ngawen (Klaten) section.

This figure is the number of vehicles passing through the functional route for six days, namely from 5-11 April 2024, operating in one direction from GT Colomadu (Trans Java Toll Road) to Boyolali and/or Kartasura, as well as to Klaten and/or Yogyakarta.

The total number of vehicles for the six days consisted of 40,965 vehicles heading to Exit Ngawen (Klaten) and 17,737 vehicles heading to Exit Ceper Karanganom.

“Meanwhile, the highest traffic volume was recorded on H-3 of Idul Fitri 1445 H (7 April 2024) with a total of 6,924 vehicles via the Ngawen (Klaten) Exit, which is still the favorite exit for road users, while the Ceper Karanganom Exit was recorded at 2,504 vehicle,” said Rudy

With a longer route, JMJ hopes to provide more optimal service to the community because this functional route can be an alternative route to avoid the traffic congestion that often occurs at Tugu Kartasura Delanggu and Jalan Raya Solo-Yogyakarta.

By passing this functional route, people do not need to pass through 15 traffic signaling device light points (APILL) and the travel time from Klaten to the Colomadu Toll Gate (GT) is only 25 minutes compared to the national road.

Seeing the enthusiasm of the community during the six days of operation of the Jogja-Solo Toll Road functional route yesterday, the traffic flow was smooth, safe and controlled, Rudy is optimistic that this functional toll road can also support the return flow of homecoming travelers or tourists who want to return to their respective cities of origin.
