The government of the archipelago of Vanuatu, in the Pacific Ocean, has put the airline Air Vanuatu into liquidation

The government of Vanuatu, an archipelago in the Pacific Ocean, put its airline Air Vanuatu is in liquidation, after an assessment of the company’s finances by the accounting firm EY (formerly known as Ernst & Young), which has taken control of it and will now manage the liquidation process.

Like other airlines, Air Vanuatu has suffered the consequences of inflation, to which in this case have been added the consequences of the interruption of flights due to the cyclones that have hit the archipelago last year. Shortly before the liquidation announcement, the airline had deleted over 20 flights to and from the Australian cities of Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland, for the moment without saying if and when flights will resume.
