The Liseberg fire: Out of control

In the morning hours, there is still no control of the large fire in the Liseberg amusement park in Gothenburg, reports The evening paper.

– We are working slowly, and there are still smoldering fires, says Lotta Molander, operations manager at the rescue service in Storgöteborg, to the newspaper.

The water slide in the new Oceana attraction caught fire yesterday afternoon. Large resources have been deployed to fight the fire.

There is a great risk of landslides at the site, which makes extinguishing work difficult.

– We have to be very careful, says Molander.

One person is missing after the fire. It is suspected that it arose in connection with construction work.
