The Marò case, the Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office asks for the filing

by admin

ROME – The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Rome has asked for the filing of the marines Salvatore Girone and Massimiliano Latorre accused of the murder of two Indian fishermen in February 2012 off the coast of Kerala in southwestern India.

Prosecutor Michele Prestipino and deputy Erminio Amelio asked the investigating judge to drop the charges against the two Navy riflemen as the framework of the evidence collected in recent years is not sufficient to guarantee the establishment of a trial.

Marò, India closes all cases. The trial continues in Italy
