The strong points of this mobile offer, we read in a note, will be the coverage, which will be able to count on the Fastweb mobile network which reaches over 99% of the territory in 4G and the possibility of browsing in 5G at no additional cost, technology that will reach 90% of the population by 2025.
Today’s announcement, in fact, is a pre-launch. In fact, there is still no information relating to the costs and details of the offer which will in any case be available in multiple solutions, all with unlimited minutes and with the possibility of choosing between different gigabyte packages: a proposition, as defined by Sky, “clear and transparent, without hidden costs, duration constraints or exit costs”.
The launch of “Sky Mobile powered by Fastweb” will be accompanied by a communication campaign with a testimonial that will be revealed close to the launch of the offer. Sky Mobile’s claim will be “simply possible”, precisely to underline the possibility of “combining the most advanced and engaging viewing experience with the speed of fixed and mobile networks”
This is the comment of Andrea Duilio, CEO of Sky Italia:
“Whether it’s experiencing major sporting events and the most exciting stories or connecting to your passions, Sky is the ideal partner for families and with Sky Mobile it will be even more so. Now our offer of contents and services is truly complete and with a unique quality. With this news we will give an extra opportunity to discover the Sky world to those who have not yet chosen us”
The expansion of the partnership, on the one hand, allows Sky to complete its offering of connectivity services and to offer an additional opportunity to its current and future customers. Fastweb, on the other hand, is able to strengthen its positioning on the mobile telephony market by giving continuity to its growth path.
According to what was found by Ookla, in the third and fourth quarters of 2023, Fastweb offered the fastest mobile network in Italy which earned it the title of Italy’s Speedtest Awards Winner by virtue of a Speed Score of 93.56 points against WindTre’s 70.97, first among the pursuers. The Speed Score is determined 80% by a weighted average on the download speed and 20% by calculations on the upload speed.
