PARIS – On the eve of the first round of legislative, Pascal Perrineau foresees a battle at the last vote for Macron, pursued by the left-wing coalition Nupes (Nouvelle union populaire écologique et sociale). Professor emeritus at Sciences Po, the political scientist does not rule out that the French leader has only a majority relative to the Assemblée Nationale.
The last three presidents have always obtained a majority in the legislative elections.
