The Postal Service y Death Cab For Cutie will bring their joint 20th anniversary tour to Barcelona at the end of August in the Spanish village.
The icons of indie rock The Postal Service y Death Cab For Cutie They continue their joint tour throughout 2024, an extension of dates that responds to the enormous demand from fans after the 2023 dates. This tour will bring the two bands to Spainwhere they will star in a concert on August 27 in it Spanish town of Barcelona. Registration for pre-sale tickets for the event is open from now until 9:30 a.m. on February 21. The pre-sale will begin at 10 a.m. on February 21 and the general sale will open on Friday, February 23 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be obtained through this link.
This joint tour celebrates 20 years of each band’s seminal albums released in 2003: “Give Up” of The Postal Servicecertified platinum by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) y “Transatlanticism” of Death Cab For Cutie, their fourth studio album also certified platinum by the same association. In addition, it became one of the albums of the year in Mondosonoro with a rating of 10. Two classics released eight months apart and created with a total recording budget of $20,000.
The tour co-headlined by both bands sold out in 2023 and included back-to-back performances at the Madison Square Garden of NYthree nights in the Hollywood Bowl of The Angels and stops in many other major cities, bringing together more than 250,000 fans in stadiums and amphitheaters around USA.
Benjamin Gibbardco-founder of both bands, will continue to do double duty on the 2024 dates. He will perform on stage at the Spanish town of Barcelona “Give Up” y “Transatlanticism” in full with their respective bandmates.
