The more favorable weather conditions finally made it possible to compete in the A2 race of the Patrouille des Glaciers between Arolla and Verbier during the night from Saturday to Sunday. It was an international patrol made up of an Andorran, a German and a Norwegian who won.

After the cancellation of the first three races of the Patrouille des Glaciers departing from Zermatt and Arolla due to bad weather conditions, the mountain adventurers were able to compete on Sunday on the short course between Arolla and Verbier, notably via La Barma , Rosablanche and the Col de la Chaux.

And it was the ā€œYoung Gunsā€ who won the race, a patrol with European accents with the Norwegian Erik Karvatn, the Andorran Oriol Olm Ruppert and the German Finn Hoeschx, all 21 years old. The trio covered the 29.6 kilometers in 3h14 and was ahead of an Austrian patrol by seven minutes and the best Swiss by twenty minutes, namely ā€œTeam GruyĆØreā€ made up of Yann Livache, Lucas Pasquier and Mathieu Pharisa.

Fourth place goes to the first womenā€™s team, the ā€œSwiss Women Team 2ā€, which misses the podium by seven minutes. Caroline Ulrich, Thibe Deseyn and Alessandra Schmid, two Vaudoises and a Haut-Valaisanne, however missed their objective of beating the ladiesā€™ record on the short course (3h41 against 3h32).
