The Strongest vs. Gremio: summary and goals of the Copa Libertadores game | Libertadores Cup

Batacazo in Bolivia. The Strongest defeated the powerful Gremio de Porto Alegre this Tuesday at home 2-0 in the debut for both in the Copa Libertadores.

The duel that was played at the height of La Paz, more precisely at the Hernando Siles stadium, left the local team as the winner that faced some rather lackluster Brazilians.

The first goal of the game came after fifteen minutes with Luciano Ursino who received a cross from the left and with an attempt to put the ball in the goal guarded by Agustín Marchesin.

Already in the second half, The Strongest found the second goal around the 73rd minute with Enrique Triverio. The play began with a tremendous free kick that Marchesin took and on the second play, the local team shot a center from the right and there Triverio sent it to save with a header.

With this result, The Strongest becomes the leader of group C with three points while Gremio is last with zero and in the next match they are forced to win against Huachipato at home.
