WALL is a design studio created by architect Caio Oliveira, whose purpose is to develop pieces of daily use with the artist’s architectural vision. It is the projection of large urban works into intimate pieces to be used in different ways and environments.
Caio Oliveira graduated in 2006 from Faculdade Belas Artes de São Paulo and during his working day he identified in design the possibility of transporting works previously thought of on large scales, such as public spaces and museums, to a scale of daily use. For him, it’s about bringing the urban into people’s homes. His design draws inspiration from the Andes Mountains, the beauty of the cerrado, the geometry of cities, the great works of national architects, to create unique pieces that highlight his entire repertoire.
MUUR studio values the relationship between art and people’s well-being, making use of the natural wealth of national wood. In the studio’s vision and in contributing to the development of Brazilian art, all pieces are designed by architect Caio Oliveira, developed in the studio itself using certified wood and using all raw materials. No part of the wood remains unused.
The studio is located in the Barra Funda neighborhood, a central and traditional location in the city of São Paulo, which is currently home to a new generation of artists and an inspiring neighborhood.
