The top series, Frøya Dorsin | Nettavisen learns: Rosenborg’s great talent on his way to PSG

Frøya Brennskag-Dorsin has shown her enormous talent at the start of this year’s top series season.

The 17-year-old recently scored a fierce goal away from home against Brann, and has been sought after by big clubs for a long time.

Just over a year ago, Nettavisen wrote about the interest from PSG and Barcelona.

Since then, interest has persisted and increased in strength from several quarters.

Now Nettavisen is informed that the Rosenborg player is approaching a clarification about his future. RBK has reached an agreement with the first-mentioned club, and the great talent is scheduled to become a PSG player after this year’s season in Norway.

– Frøya is a player who is interesting and exciting for many. There is a lot of movement around her, says RBK Kvinner’s sports manager Mads Pettersen to Nettavisen.

The Paris club has gone to great lengths to reach an agreement with RBK, and according to Nettavisen’s understanding, will pay a million sums to secure one of the biggest talents on the women’s side in Norwegian football.

It is not commonplace even for the French big club.

Dorsin’s skills have been highly sought after and PSG have presented good plans for the 17-year-old, who will turn 18 on January 7 next year. When she eventually sets course for Paris, the plan is for her to become part of PSG’s first-team squad.

According to Nettavisen’s understanding, Rosenborg and PSG have agreed on an agreement whereby Dorsin will become a PSG player in January 2025, when she turns 18.

Although the clubs will now agree on a transfer, not all papers have been signed at the present time. If everything goes as the clubs plan, this could happen during the summer.

Dorsin is considered one of the greatest Norwegian talents and has scored goals for age-specific national teams for Norway.

She is the daughter of former RBK player and current sports manager for the elite league team, Mikael Dorsin. In theory, she can also represent the Swedish national team. In the neighboring country to the east, forces in the Swedish Football Association have already tried to approach Dorsin to check the possibilities of whether she might be interested in representing Sweden rather than Norway.

She has international matches for Norway up to J 17 level.

This season, she has scored two goals in five games in the Toppserien for a Rosenborg team that is fighting at the top.

PSG are second in the French league behind Ada Hegerberg’s Lyon. They were also knocked out of the semi-finals of the women’s Champions League against the same team.
