In Going in Tirol, known from the ZDF series “Der Bergdoktor”, a fallen maypole hits a boy. This is how the injured seven-year-old feels.
Going – During preparations for the May Festival, a seven-year-old boy was seriously injured in an accident in Tyrol, Austria, on Tuesday (April 30). The accident happened on the village square of Going in the Kitzbühel district, which ZDF viewers know from the series “Der Bergdoktor”.

What happened? According to the police, a gust of wind hit the maypole and the crane that was being used to erect it. The more than 25 meter high maypole and part of the crane fell to the ground. A building that can be seen in the ZDF series “Der Bergdoktor” as the “Wilder Kaiser” inn was badly damaged. But that’s not all: a seven-year-old boy who was riding a scooter was also hit.
