The saga of Thomas Tuchel’s departure from Bayern is finally over.
For weeks, there have been talks about his dismissal, bidding on the names of successors and talks about conflicts inside the dressing room, and now it is clear that the experienced expert will not lead the Bavarians next season.
The management of the club talked with the coach for the past few days and an agreement was reached on the termination of cooperation at the end of the season, “Bild” reported.
The question, however, is whether it will be too late, with Bayern in poor form and losing ground on multiple fronts.
After two consecutive defeats, first against Bayer Leverkusen and then against Bochum, the Bavarians have eight points less than the “pharmacists” who hold first place and are on their way to the first title in the club’s history.
In addition, a big blow for Bayern is the 1:0 loss to Lazio in the first leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League.
Bayern is thus facing the first season without a trophy since 2011/2012, so the management decided to terminate cooperation with Tuchel, who arrived at the Allianz Arena in March 2023 and signed a contract until June 2025.
