The investigation into fraud and breach of trust against the former chamberlain of Leinefelde-Worbis is ongoing. As a spokeswoman for the MDR THÜRINGEN public prosecutor’s office said, there is no end in sight yet.
Investigations also against ex-mayors
The long-time head of the treasurer’s office, who was responsible for the city’s finances, was terminated without notice because of these irregularities. The woman successfully sued against this before the Nordhausen labor court. The city of Leinefelde-Worbis is now appealing the verdict to the Erfurt State Labor Court.
