Football icon Tom Brady endured many nasty jokes in a live broadcast on streaming provider Netflix. At “The Roast of Tom Brady,” celebrities and former teammates dished out the 46-year-old quarterback legend live on stage on Sunday – but also acknowledged his successes.
The three-hour event at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles was hosted by US comedian and actor Kevin Hart (44), who, among other things, made fun of Brady’s divorce from top model Gisele Bündchen (43) and Brady’s advertising commitment to the crypto exchange FTX made.
Oscar winner Ben Affleck (51), actor Will Ferrell (56) and reality TV star Kim Kardashian (43) also took their chance to joke with the athlete while he had to listen to them on stage. Kardashian joked about Brady’s looks and addressed rumors of an alleged liaison between the two.
At the end, Brady himself took over the microphone and also dished it out – even against himself. Brady, who has been divorced since 2023, said: “It’s true that I miss the love of my life. Football.”
The former quarterback ended his glorious career in the American professional league NFL at the beginning of 2023. He was married to top model Giselle Bündchen until 2022 and they have two children together. Brady also has a son from a previous relationship.
