Two months after the invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops, the Kiev government dubbed the German reaction to the Kremlin war as “rather hesitant” compared to other European countries. He was the Ukrainian foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba to remark this in an interview with the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Kuleba said Germany should “take a leadership role in Europe, especially when it comes to Ostpolitik matters”.
