A 9-year-old Moldovan boy died when hit by a train Borgo Revela fraction of Verolengo (Turin). His body was seen on the tracks by the engineer of a regional train on the Chivasso-Alessandria line. The little boy would therefore have been hit and killed by a convoy that had previously passed on the line. In the afternoon it was escaped from a community of educatorswho immediately raised the alarm and triggered searches.

The
circulation on the line was suspended and trains were replaced with buses between Chivasso and Alessandria. The alarm over the disappearance of the Moldovan child was raised by the managers and educators of the
community of Borgo Revel, which takes care of children in difficulty and separated from their families of origin and which hosts a maximum of eight minors. The searches of the educators and the police, which began immediately, had yielded no results. The investigation is conducted by
Prosecutor’s Office of Ivreathe same one that investigates the Brandizzo massacre.

It’s about the
second person to lose his life on January 15th on the railway lines in the Turin area, in the same area. At the Chivasso station, about fifteen kilometers from Borgo Revel, in the morning
a 60-year-old woman had been run over and killed from a train in transit on the conventional Turin-Milan line. In that case it was almost certainly a suicide, as reconstructed by investigators.

The head of the community of educators: “A tragedy” “It’s a terrible tragedy”, commented Mauro Marino, one of the leaders of the “Growing together” community of Borgo Revel. “We are still trying to understand what happened, we are waiting for the investigations by the police and the judiciary to allow us to reconstruct what happened. The educators are shocked. Our job is to protect children, things have happened that we do not we are still able to rebuild. We have followed all the alarm procedures that must be respected in these cases, we have done everything possible.”
