“It’s home again for me now,” says Florian Tursky at the end of his remarks – in a kind of Tyrolean that can still be understood on the Viennese parquet. Tursky, a native of Innsbruck, will resign from his position as State Secretary and leave the capital. He announced this at a press conference on Friday. He wants to return to Tyrol, to his homeland, to which he previously had to commute. Tursky’s agenda – he was State Secretary for Digitalization – will be taken over by his ÖVP colleague, Youth State Secretary Claudia Plakolm.
