Kiev is organizing a parade for August 24th, to celebrate 30 years of independence after the breakup of the Soviet Union, and the government has distributed the images of the evidence, causing a hive of controversy. Among the photos were a few that showed female soldiers marching in compact ranks, with black mid-heeled shoes. On the website of the ministry the cadet Ivanna Medvid commented: “Today, for the first time, the training takes place with heels.
