Burnley, Beritasatu.com – Burnley’s winless streak extended to 10 matches in all competitions after a 0-2 home defeat against Bournemouth in the Premier League, Sunday (3/3/2024). Vincent Kompany’s team has not won a single match in 2024.
Burnley need major changes to have a chance of avoiding Premier League relegation.
Currently, Burnley are 11 points from safety and are only above last-place Sheffield United on goal difference.
In the match against Burnley, Justin Kluivert put Bournemouth ahead in the 13th minute at Turf Moor. He fired a shot past goalkeeper James Trafford.
Antoine Semenyo ended Burnley’s hopes of a comeback with Bournemouth’s second goal in the 88th minute.
Bournemouth fans taunted Kompany as the game drew to a close, chanting “sacked (sacked) in the morning.”
Burnley’s last win came at Fulham on December 23 and they have lost eight of their 10 games since then.
Bournemouth have never won in their last six matches in all competitions and were knocked out of the FA Cup by second tier Leicester last Tuesday.
This was the first league win since New Year’s Eve for Andoni Iraola’s side and left them in 13th place in the standings and 11 points clear of the relegation zone.
