A United Airlines Boeing 777 jetliner lost a wheel during takeoff from San Francisco Airport today, Thursday, March 7. The plane, headed for Osaka in Japan, made an emergency landing in Los Angeles. There were 235 passengers and a crew of 14 on board the aircraft: no one was injured during the descent.
