NEW YORK – In August, three zebras had escaped from a farm in Maryland. Their escape attracted social media attention with many users posting bizarre photos of the three striped animals fleeing to the US state. Unfortunately, one of the three zebras was soon found dead in an illegal trap, says the BBC.
The surviving couple has only just now returned to their original farm. The owner is the 76-year-old Jerry Lee Holly, who has a license to breed these exotic animals. In October, however, a complaint was filed against the man for cruelty to animals. In addition to giraffes, the farmer has monkeys and bears on his farm.
