Maxi seizure of smuggled cigarettes in Ventimiglia. Finance discovered 9 tons of cigarettes without the State Monopoly seal in a truck, divided into 45,000 cartons, a total of 900,000 packets. The driver of the vehicle, a Bulgarian, was arrested on suspicion of smuggling foreign manufactured tobacco. The truck was arriving from France and was entering Italy. The value of the illegal cargo is approximately one and a half million euros.
