VIASAT The company acquired last year by Targa Telematics is the technological partner of the MOVE-IN Project – Companies

Viasat, a Targa Telematics company, is among the technological partners accredited by the Veneto Region to make the MOVE-IN Project (MONITORING OF POLLUTING VEHICLES) operational in the territory of the participating Municipalities, which also allows vehicles of old registration.

The project, already active in Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna and Piedmont, intends to promote a more conscious use of the most polluting vehicles – those that should be subject to circulation restrictions – by assigning owners, private individuals and companies, who join the project on a voluntary basis , a mileage threshold that can be monitored throughout the year and established based on the type and environmental class of the vehicle. The project also aims to reward, with the assignment of further bonus kilometres, those who adopt a more sustainable driving style in urban areas and on the motorway.

Furthermore, Viasat is accredited by the Veneto Region as Telematics Service Provider (TSP) for monitoring kilometers travelled. “As TSP of the Move-In project, we make our contribution to the containment of CO2 emissions, encouraging a more conscious use of vehicles. Thanks to our technology, we support the Veneto Region in the development of more sustainable mobility, which has always been part of our corporate mission” commented Nazzareno Marchese, Go to Market Manager of Viasat.
