During the interview, Harris was asked about voters’ confidence in her readiness to take over the presidency if needed due to concerns about President Biden’s age. In response, Harris asserted, “I’ve done my service. No question about it,” and emphasized that her leadership abilities are evident to anyone who observes her work.
The discussion about Harris’s potential to serve as president intensified after a special counsel report on Biden’s handling of classified documents raised concerns about the 81-year-old president’s mental acuity. The report described Biden as showing “diminished abilities” and referred to him as an “old man with a poor memory.”
