Vitória beats Juazeirense and takes the lead in the Bahia Championship

This Sunday, the Victory hosted Juazeirense, in the fourth round of the Bahia Championship. The match ended with the home team winning 3-0, with goals scored by Camutanga, Alerrandro and Caio Dantas, in the second half.

The triumph took Vitória to first place in the table, with nine points. Juazeiro’s team lost its unbeaten record in the championship, remaining with seven points, in third place.

Juazeirense returns to the field this Thursday, against Itabuna, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time). Vitória will face Jequié on Wednesday, at 9:30 pm. The two matches will be valid for the fifth round of Baianão.

The first half was quite busy, with Vitória forcing the opposing goalkeeper to work, but without being able to find the net. On the other hand, Juazeirense failed to finish during the first half.

In the final stage, Juazeiro’s team even managed to create chances, but the home team prevailed. In the 11th minute, Camutanga opened the scoring after a cross from Everaldo, who made his debut for Vitória.

Alerrandro, the second debutant of the day, hit the corner, with no chance for the goalkeeper, and scored Vitória’s second, in the 22nd minute. In stoppage time, Caio Dantas converted a penalty kick and gave final results to the match.
