Since lunchtime today – Tuesday 6 February – numerous users in Italy have reported experiences of malfunctions when using the Vodafone network.

Reports of problems have come from various parts of the country, particularly involving the data network and impacting Internet access on 4G technology.

Vodafone has released an official note on the various channels where it is present apologizing to its customers for the inconvenience suffered: “Vodafone apologizes to its customers who have experienced disruptions in voice and data traffic on 4G technology. The company communicates that it intervened promptly for the restoration, which took place starting from 2.30 pm today.”

As often happens in similar situations, the usual “word of mouth” has begun on social networks among users to report service malfunctions. The hashtag #vodafonedown quickly became trending, highlighting the extent of the problem perceived by users.

About an hour after the problems began, the official Vodafone account on platform The message read: “We are aware of the situation you report to us. The technicians are already working to restore the service.”
