Not just the shortage of food, water and essential goods. In the camps and shelters where the hundreds of thousands of internally displaced people live Gaza Strip the lack of Toilet adequate and drinking water is becoming an emergency. In fact, the impact on people’s health is dramatic. “The diseases are spreading rapidly” explains an operator of Oxfam in an audio testimony from the Strip. “In hospitals we struggle to try to help everyone, but there is a lack of electricity, space and resources.” The continuous attacks also make the work of humanitarian workers very difficult and risky, as they are unable to bring aid to civilians who have fled en masse from their homes in search of a safe place.
