A volcano has erupted in Iceland, about 30 kilometers southwest of the capital Reykjavik. This was announced by the meteorological institute. The rescue services are on site and have launched an invitation to citizens not to approach. For the moment, the volcanic eruption did not cause any problems for air traffic. In 2010 the eruption of the volcano Eyjafjallajoekull, accompanied by very high ash emissions, blocked air traffic for days, disrupting flights all over the world and causing inconvenience to over 8 million passengers. The northern European island has over 100 both active and inactive volcanoes.
