“High Society Barbie”: Ekaterina Mizulina, the Alleged New Girlfriend of Russian President Vladimir Putin
The Russian model Ekaterina Mizulina, known as “High Society Barbie” on social networks, is at the center of controversy as Ukrainian and British media speculate that she is the new girlfriend of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Reports suggest that Putin had previously been in a relationship with Olympic medalist Alina Kabaeva, but that relationship has allegedly ended, with Mizulina now in the picture.
According to The Times, Mizulina, a cybersecurity expert, has been portrayed as a staunch supporter of anti-LGBT legislation in Russia on her social media platforms. While little is known about her personal life, Mizulina frequently shares photos and messages with her followers on Instagram.
At 39 years old, Mizulina is reportedly the daughter of ultra-conservative senator Yelena Mizulina. She studied Art History and Indonesian Language at the University of London and later secured a position within the Russian government. Currently, she serves as the director of the Safe Internet League of the Russian Association of Internet Industry Market Participants, where she advocates for Internet censorship and supports Russia’s actions in Ukraine.
