On Tuesday (March 19th) Wolfgang Ambros celebrates his 72nd birthday with the unplugged concert “Pur VI” in Vienna’s Theater Akzen. For the new tour, which also stops in Amstetten at the weekend, he is bringing the presents himself: ““six new (old) songs” were rehearsed.

In 1986, Wolfgang Ambros celebrated his 34th birthday with 10,000 fans in the Vienna Stadthalle. Now he’s on stage in Vienna for his 72nd! On Tuesday (March 19th) the big birthday concert under the motto “Pur VI” will take place in the Theater Akzen. There are 455 well-wishers. The Austropop party has been completely sold out for weeks.

The Austropop Emperor even brings very special gifts for the special day. For the new tour, which starts with a double act in Amstetten on the weekend (Friday and Saturday) and also ensures a sold-out house on Monday in the Theater Akzen, he has “six new (old) ones” with keyboardist Günter Dzikowski and guitarist Roland Vogl. Songs” rehearsed. The great classics from “A Mensch möcht I stay” to “Du bist wia de Wintasun”, which moves everyone’s hearts in a new duet version with Christina Stürmer, to “Die Blume aus dem Gemeindebau” are available anyway.
