Juarez City- Municipal police in Juarez City made a grim discovery in the Roma Poniente neighborhood early this morning. The lifeless body of a woman, who had been reported as missing, was found in a vacant lot on David de la Fuente and Enrique Pinocelli streets.
Authorities were alerted to the scene at 6:00 a.m. after an anonymous tip was called in to emergency services. The victim had suffered gunshot wounds to the head and, based on physical characteristics and clothing, police believe she may be the same woman who had been abducted from her home by armed individuals.
The incident has been reported to the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Crimes against Women (FEM), as investigators work to piece together the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
This tragic discovery marks the second homicide in Juarez City in the first two days of May, following the discovery of a skeleton in the Granjas San Rafael neighborhood yesterday. The community is left reeling from these acts of violence, and authorities are working diligently to bring those responsible to justice.
