The NGO World Central Kitchen (WCK) will resume its activities in the Gaza Strip tomorrow, after a suspension lasting almost a month due to the killing of 7 of its workers in an attack by the Israeli army. «We are restarting our business with the same energy, dignity and attention to feeding as many people as possible» says Erin Gore, CEO of Wck, as reported by the Times of Israel, «to date we have distributed more than 43 million meals and we are eager to distribute millions more. Food is a universal right and our work in Palestine has been the most life-saving mission in our 14-year organizational history. We will continue to get as much food as possible to Gaza, including northern Gaza, by land, air or sea.”

“We were forced to make a decision: stop feeding altogether during one of the worst food crises ever, ending our operation which accounted for 62% of all international NGO aid, or continue feeding knowing that aid, humanitarian workers and civilians are being intimidated and killed,” Gore added, “in the end, we decided we needed to keep feeding, continuing our mission to be there to provide food to people in the most difficult times.”
The organization continues to call for an impartial and international investigation into the attack on its Israel Defense Forces (IDF) convoy.
