The Saudi Arabian-led coalition supporting the Yemeni government against the Huthi rebels has announced a unilateral ceasefire starting today. Military operations stop for Ramadan, the month of Islamic fasting which begins this year on April 2.
The Houthis rejected the proposal as “senseless” in the absence of the coalition’s reopening of ports. The conflict has begun in March 2015.
