National Mandate Party (PAN) politician Zita Anjani is said to be on the radar as a potential candidate in the Jakarta Governor Election (Pilgub). Zita’s name is being chosen to accompany the former Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil.
This issue first emerged when PAN Secretary General Eddy Soeparno said that PAN was ready to encourage RK to become governor, while Zita became deputy governor.
“And it seems fitting that (Zita Anjani) is paired with Mas RK. Moreover, both of them are young figures. Young, progressive, what DKI needs, so that the movement is agile,” explained Eddy in his statement, Thursday (11/4/2024 ).

He conveyed this on the sidelines of the Eid al-Fitr open house for PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan, Wednesday (10/4/2024).
Even though there has been no official decision from the party, Zita positively welcomed the opportunity to pair up with RK. According to him, RK is suitable as a candidate for governor of DKI because of his charm, familiarity and support for the younger generation.
“Mr RK is suitable to be a candidate for governor of DKI. Because apart from being cool, he is also pro for young people, and he is also handsome,” said Zita.
Zita said PAN also respected Golkar’s wishes to carry RK in West Java.
“Just DKI. I think DKI needs Mr RK, so there will be more humor in Jakarta,” said Zita.
With his track record, the Deputy Chair of the DKI Jakarta DPRD also admitted that he was ready if the party was assigned to accompany Ridwan Kamil in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.
“If the party trusts me, that’s natural, because I’m part of the party and already have a track record that can be seen. But what’s important is whether the people trust me. If the people give me the opportunity, I’m ready to take on that responsibility,” explained Zita.
“Especially with Kang Emil, who also has experience building cities, and I who know Jakarta, we could be a combination of young people who can further develop Jakarta in the future,” he concluded.
