Mattia Gianola is back. After the spring foot injury that prevented him from being selected for the World Trail Championships in Innsbruck, the strong Premanese skyrunner got his first real satisfaction of the season by printing the new ResegUp record, the symbolic race of every Lecco area. His 2h15’00 will be the time to beat in future editions. The falcon Danilo Brambilla passed first on the summit, but as always the race was decided in descent.
Here Gianola made the most of his downhill skills by winning ahead of Marco Filosi (2h16’40”) and the young Alessandro Rossi (2h16’54”). Danilo Brambilla and Lorenzo Rota Martir complete the top five. Sergio Bonaldi, Dionigi Gianola, Erik Gianola, Stefano Tavola and Lorenzo Passoni follow in order.
A dream come true for the “local” Francesca Rusconi. First from start to finish she crossed the finish line in 2h47’35” ahead of the 2023 winner Martina Bilora who finished in 2h49’16”. Third place for Arianna Tagliaferri (2h52’43”). Followed by Roberta Jacquin, Elisa Pallini, Francesca Colombo, Giovanna Terraneo, Irene Gianola, Sara Toloni and Francesca Crippa.
Thanks to the milder temperatures due to the rain, the previous records set by Lorenzo Beltrami (2h18’09”) and Martina Bilora (2h53’54”).
