At today’s Microsoft Gamescom event, we learned that cloud games will be available on Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles later this year.
This will enable those with active Game Pass subscriptions to quickly jump to games without having to install them on their hard drives. To stream games through the cloud, players only need to navigate to the cloud gaming section on Game Pass and select the game they want to play. You can see how this operation looks like in the video below.
In addition, it also detailed that Xbox One owners will soon be able to stream Xbox Series exclusive games via the cloud, such as “Microsoft Flight Simulator” and “The Medium”. However, the official has not revealed the exact launch date of this feature, but it is really exciting to think that we will no longer need new hardware to play some of the latest games.
