The translator and UNRWA collaborator recounted the conflict in the 107 days of war
Motaz Azaia has chronicled the war inside Gaza since the first day of conflict between Israel and Hamas: always on the field, day and night, in places hit by bombs, among destroyed houses, without electricity, with difficulties due to communications interruptions. He never held back, carrying out punctual and precise work in the 107 days of war that he experienced.
«I am forced to evacuate for many reasons. You know many of them, but not all of them” wrote the photojournalist, translator and collaborator of UNRWA, the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, on his Instagram profile (which went from 25 thousand followers to over 18 million since 7 October 2023). “I hope to return one day and help Gaza,” he said in the video in which he announced he was leaving the Strip for Qatar.
